On Scene Support

• Advice to command on matters of stress.

• TEAM availability: notification to all command staff and through them to all responding departments\agencies

• Provide pre-demobilizations for those entering the scene at the recovery stage.

• Provide demobilizations for those leaving the scene. Demobilizations are used at shift engagement as preparation for on-scene work or at shift disengagement to allow psychological decompression and education for self-care.

• Provide responder family support as requested.

• Individual peer contacts as needed or requested.

• Provide written handouts for self-care.

• Arrange for an extension of care for those working on multi-day operations.
